We want our Contacts to experience overwhelmingly generous hospitality. Popular choices are anything from a Men’s Breakfast or a Women’s Breakfast, to an Austerity Lunch, to a Barbecue or a Pizza Party or a Curry Night, from Coffee and Desserts to a lavish evening Dinner. The message can come from a prominent speaker, entertainer or sports person or evangelist or illusionist or escapologist. The speaker could as easily be a member of the church sharing their testimony or talking about the difference Jesus makes in their lives or in their workplace.

For all these kinds of occasions three things are vital to remember. The principal guests will not be complete strangers but people invited by members of the church and congregation. The act of inviting somebody is in itself an opportunity for witness. And the conversations about spiritual things over the meal will be at least as significant as any message the speaker might bring.
